The meeting was presided over by Phuket Vice Governor Adul Chuthong, with DDPM Phuket Chief Sophon Thongsai and representatives from various government, private, and local organisations in attendance.

Vice Governor Adul underscored the directive from the Royal Volunteer Command Center Region 4, which requires all regions to be adequately prepared for disaster scenarios.

The initiative is a proactive measure to ensure that Phuket is not only ready but also resilient when faced with natural disasters.

The upcoming exercise will simulate flood and mudslide situations, providing a practical framework for testing and improving coordination and adaptability among different agencies.
