Pattaya horror: Foreigner’s body found wedged in drainpipe
Pattaya police faced a puzzling situation when they were alerted to the discovery of a foreigner’s body near a Naklua resort on December 30. The body was found in an unusual and alarming position, folded and wedged into a drainpipe measuring 50 by 50 centimetres, with the legs pointing upward, sparking immediate concern.
Officers quickly secured the area to conduct a thorough inspection, which included the third-floor rooftop of an adjacent building. They carefully examined scrape marks found on a large tree nearby, raising questions about whether the tree might have played a role in the incident.
The discovery was made by another tourist who spotted the body and swiftly informed the resort staff, prompting them to contact the police without delay. This prompt action led to the involvement of the Pattaya police, who are now working alongside forensic experts and investigators from Chon Buri province.
The primary focus of the investigation is to determine both the cause of death and the events that led to this unusual situation, reported The Pattaya News.
The collaboration between local police and provincial experts highlights the seriousness with which this case is being treated, as officials seek to uncover any clues that might explain the circumstances of the incident.
“We are committed to finding out what happened and will leave no stone unturned in our investigation.”
