A 30 year old shopkeeper was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside his grocery store in Pathum Thani.

Police discovered a black t-shirt wrapped around his neck, mucus flowing from his nose and mouth, and his left hand clutching a power bank. His right hand rested on a fallen kettle.

The incident occurred today, March 11, inside a ground floor apartment at a complex in Soi Rangsit, Pathum Thani.

Police Colonel Pornjet Phrommuan from the Pratunam Chulalongkorn Police Station received a report of the death and arrived at the scene with investigators, forensic officers, and volunteers from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation.

The store, located in rooms 101-102 of Building A, had a makeshift bedroom near the bathroom where Warawit Khunasa was discovered face down beside the bed.

A kettle and a water bottle had fallen, spilling water on the floor, and the kettle’s plug was removed.

Nearby, a table and lamp had also toppled. A scratch was noted on Warawit’s right back, and it is believed he died approximately eight hours before being found.

Inside the apartment, a picnic gas stove with a pot of dried kratom leaves was found, which had burned to the bottom.

Relatives confirmed that all personal belongings, including cash and amulets, were intact. Although a CCTV camera was present in the store, it was not connected to power.

Warawit’s 25 year old girlfriend, Beam, stated that she had argued with him the night before and had slept in a different room upstairs. She mentioned that Warawit had closed the shop around 1am, instructing his sister to collect ice in the morning.

Typically, he opened the shop at 9am, but on this occasion, it remained shut. After returning from work in the evening and unable to contact him, Beam asked a security guard to force open the shop door.

Upon entering, she noticed a burnt smell from the pot on the gas stove, which she turned off before discovering Warawit’s body in the bedroom, reported KhaoSod.

Pol. Col. Pornjet and forensic officers documented the scene, and the Ruamkatanyu Foundation transported Warawit’s body for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death with further investigations underway.
