Pathum Thani guards receive generous new year gifts from residents
Security guards at a residential community in Pathum Thani are overwhelmed with gratitude as residents shower them with generous New Year gifts, including cash bonuses as high as 10,000 baht. As the new year approaches, residents of Phassorn 1 Village, located in Klong Sam, Klong Luang district, have shown their appreciation for the diligent work of the security personnel who ensure the safety and peace of the community.
The entrance of Phassorn 1 Village is adorned with the largest Christmas tree in Klong Sam, setting a festive mood. On the left side of the entrance, a sizeable collection of gifts can be seen, each tagged with the name and house number of the giver.
The gifts range from fans and bicycles to various sweets and more. Some residents have opted to give substantial cash bonuses instead of physical gifts, with amounts reaching into 10,000 baht (US$290).
Somsak Opaspheumpong, Phassorn 1 Village Committee chief, mentioned that the tradition of giving gifts to the security staff has been ongoing for 15 years. This practice has become a customary way for residents to express their gratitude for the guards’ efforts in maintaining community order and addressing any immediate concerns, said Somsak.
“This is our way of showing our appreciation. These gifts serve as a morale boost for the guards as they continue their duties in the coming year. Even before the new year has arrived, the residents have already brought numerous gifts, and we expect even more as the celebrations draw closer.”
Kraithong Mueanphukiew, a 44 year old security guard, who served at Phassorn 1 for nearly 20 years, expressed his happiness and appreciation for the residents’ recognition. He and his fellow guards are committed to continuing their excellent service to the community.
“I am thrilled that the residents value our work. The entire security team is dedicated to looking after this village. We receive quick responses whenever needed and are grateful for the respect and gratitude shown to us.”
Residents have also expressed their satisfaction with the security team’s services. One long-term resident, who has lived in the village for almost 10 years, praised the guards for their prompt response to any incidents, reported KhaoSod.
“The security staff here are wonderful. Whenever there’s an issue, they arrive in no time, without any delay. We are thankful for the excellent care they provide.”
