Nine suspects arrested for Pattani petrol station robbery

Police apprehended nine suspects involved in a brazen robbery at a petrol station in Panare district, Pattani province. The incident occurred when a group of men and women on motorcycles were ambushed by the suspects, who were armed with two guns.

An alarming report emerged yesterday, September 24, of nine individuals robbing victims as they exited a PTT petrol station in Palas, Panare district, Pattani province, early in the morning on September 21. The victims, both male and female, were riding motorcycles when they were ambushed by the gang.

Following the incident, Police Colonel Chaiwat Panbunthong, the superintendent of Panare Police Station, immediately took action. He ordered Police Lieutenant Colonel Piriya Jettawaranon, the deputy superintendent of investigation at Panare Police Station, to lead an investigative team to the scene of the incident to gather information.

The investigation quickly led to the identification of the suspects. The officers managed to track down all nine individuals involved in the robbery. The police also recovered the two firearms used in the crime, three motorcycles, and a machete.

“The swift action of our investigative team was crucial in apprehending these suspects. We have ensured that the perpetrators are now in custody and will face legal proceedings.”

The suspects have been handed over to the investigating officers for further legal action. The police are continuing their efforts to ensure the safety and security of the community, urging citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities, reported KhaoSod.

In related news, police arrested a Thai man who murdered and robbed a 73 year old woman on September 22 in the central province of Ayutthaya. Angry locals attempted to lynch the suspect.

Neighbours reported the death of the 73 year old woman to Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Police Station at 6.30am on Monday, September 23. She was found dead in her home, bearing wounds to her left eye, nose, head, and back of her neck.
