Running from July 17 to 21, the Fin Food Festival takes place on the ground floor, beachside, of the Central Pattaya Shopping Centre, starting at 3pm. The event boasts over 100 mouthwatering dishes sourced from various corners of Thailand, as well as Western foods to appeal to tourists and expats.

Dishes range from spicy curries to crispy snacks and sweet treats, ensuring there’s something to please every palate. The festival is not just about the food but also the vibrant atmosphere, making it an ideal spot to spend the weekend, reported Pattaya News.

In related news, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) rolled out the Amazing Food Festival 2024 to showcase the diversity of Thai cuisine and cement Thailand’s reputation as a world-class destination for gastronomy tourism. Following a successful event in Phuket on July 5 to 7, the festival is gearing up for its next instalments in Chiang Mai from July 20 to 22 and Prachuap Khiri Khan from August 10 to 12.

In other news, a shocking revelation about the cost of food at Chatuchak market sparked a fierce online discussion. A Facebook user posted in the group พวกเราคือผู้บริโภค (We Are Consumers), which has 780,000 members, sharing their shock at being charged 820 baht for three dishes.

Visiting the market only once a year, the user admitted to lacking local knowledge. They recounted their experience, stating they were drawn to a curry stall with an appetising array of dishes. Without asking for prices first, they ordered three items, assuming the market was generally more expensive but not expecting such a large bill.
