The incident involved a group of approximately 10 men attacking the victim named Jakrawut before he was fatally stabbed in Soi Therd Ratchan 1, Si Kan, Don Mueang district, Bangkok. To date, seven out of the total 13 suspects have been arrested.

The recent arrests took place at 6pm yesterday, when Police Lieutenant Colonel Adirek Thongkaemkaew, Superintendent of Don Mueang Police Station, Deputy Superintendent Police Lieutenant Colonel Phalawat Pumsawat, Police Captain Wuttichai Boonyou, Police Captain Pakin Dokmai, and Deputy Crime Suppression Division Chief Police Major Somchok Kongtumni led an investigative team to carry out arrest warrants number 3951-3952 /2566, dated yesterday, reported KhaoSod.

The individuals apprehended were Somrak, the alleged knife man, and Kiu, both apprehended at the end of Soi Therd Ratchan 23, Si Kan, Don Mueang district, Bangkok. A nail file, used as a weapon during the attack, was seized as evidence.

During interrogation, Somrak confessed that on the day of the incident, he went out to buy food and was informed by a friend that there was an issue and he should carry a knife. He grabbed a nail file that was under his seat and put it in his shoulder bag.

Upon arriving at the incident scene and seeing a group arguing by a wall, he got out of his vehicle and stabbed the victim once with the nail file. He did not think that the victim would die from the stabbing.

Following this, the police took him to recreate the crime scene before bringing him back for further questioning and to inform him of the charges. The suspects have been charged with collectively assaulting another person and causing death with a weapon. The legal proceedings will continue accordingly.
