2 Thai men attack drug rehab clinic worker and steal prescription medicine
Victim hospitalised with head wound after refusing to sell unauthorised drug

Two Thai men attacked a worker at a drug rehabilitation clinic in Pathum Thani on Wednesday, June 18, after an employee refused to sell them prescription medication, which they later stole.
The Jmoi V+ Facebook page reported yesterday, June 19, that the pair physically assaulted a 63 year old employee at the Princess Mother National Institute for Drug Abuse Treatment (PMNIDAT) in the Rangsit area of central Pathum Thani.
The men had requested to purchase alprazolam, a prescription-only medication used to treat anxiety and panic disorders. The worker at the dispensary asked them to present a doctor’s prescription, but they failed to do so. When he refused to dispense the medicine, the men became aggressive.
One of the suspects reportedly pulled out a gun to threaten the staff member before both launched a physical assault.
CCTV footage shows the victim attempting to flee the clinic for help, but one of the assailants grabbed him and tried to strangle him. The victim eventually managed to escape, with one suspect in pursuit.

Meanwhile, the other attacker entered the medical storage area, took the desired medication, placed it into a plastic bag, and fled the scene.
Channel 7 reported that the victim, identified only as Sanong, was assisted by locals and taken for treatments. He sustained a head injury requiring eight stitches and later reported the incident to Chulalongkorn Pratunam Provincial Police Station.

Police later tracked down the two suspects, identified as 25 year old Tle and Chain. Tle confessed to the assault, claiming he needed the medication, without which he could not sleep and would feel disoriented.
Tle told police he had initially gone alone to purchase the medication, but Sanong refused to sell it to him without identification. He then brought his friend Chain to the clinic and attempted to buy the medicine using Chain’s ID.

However, as Chain was not a patient, Sanong still refused to provide the medication. Tle admitted that, in a fit of rage, he attacked the staff member.
The public expressed suspicion over Tle’s explanation, noting that the men appeared to have brought weapons in preparation, suggesting premeditated intent to rob the clinic. No formal charges have yet been filed, and police say further questioning will be conducted.
