Ayutthaya worker hits jackpot with 12 million baht lottery win
Social media erupts as photos of stunned winner go viral online

A worker in Ayutthaya became an instant millionaire after winning the top prize in the national lottery, sparking celebration in their hometown community.
The lucky winner held two tickets that matched the first-prize number in the October 1 draw yesterday, announced by the Government Lottery Office.
The winning ticket number, 876978, was revealed alongside the two-digit prize number 77. The Ayutthaya-based winner, originally from Wang Nam Khiao, had not only one but two tickets bearing the golden number, earning a total windfall of 12 million baht.
The joyous news was shared online by the Wang Nam Khiao Tourism Promotion Club, which took to Facebook to congratulate their local hero.
“Congratulations to the Wang Nam Khiao native working in Ayutthaya, winning 12 million baht!”
The post also featured a photo of the two winning tickets, proudly displaying the matching number. A sticker marked “Jae Pheuak” was attached to the tickets, likely referring to the lottery vendor or shop that sold them, reported KhaoSod.
While the identity of the new millionaire has yet to be publicly revealed, excitement and celebration have been rippling through the community in both Wang Nam Khiao and Ayutthaya. Online users have been flooding the comments with messages of congratulations and a little bit of envy.
As with most first-prize wins in Thailand’s national lottery, the total amount, six million baht per ticket, is paid out in full, making the lucky person an instant multimillionaire.
Another lucky winner from Phetchabun has struck it rich, winning the first prize in the national lottery and bagging a 6 million baht jackpot.
As news spread, neighbours gathered at her home to cheer and congratulate her on the life-changing win. Excitement quickly spilled over to social media, where photos and a video of the woman proudly holding her ticket were shared online. The post rapidly gained attention, drawing a wave of support and well-wishes.
