Sam Smith plans to kick off Asia leg of tour in Bangkok area in October

Musical superstar Sam Smith is heading back to Thailand.

The 30 year old Smith announced plans to kick off the Asia leg of their ‘Gloria’ world tour in the Bangkok area in October. They will perform at IMPACT Arena in the Pak Kret district of Nonthaburi province on October 3.

The pop sensation announced the performance dates on their social media accounts yesterday.

Smith’s latest album ‘Gloria’ was released on January 27 this year, and is the singer’s fourth album. The album features the worldwide smash hit ‘Unholy.’ Other songs on the album include ‘I’m Not Here to Make Friends,’ and ‘Who We Love.’

Smith last visited Thailand in December last year. They caused quite a stir among their Thai fans after pictures emerged of their holiday in Koh Samui in the southern province of Surat Thani. Smith was snapped on a motorcycle around the island where it appeared he is in Thailand for more than just “The Thrill of it All.”

Many Thai netizens commented, “Welcome to Thailand” and “Welcome to Samui” while many others invited Smith to check out other provinces in the south.

Another picture capturing them and their friend on a motorcycle gained a lot of attention on Thai social media. Thai netizens were impressed with their simple lifestyle and loved how they travelled around the island on a motorcycle like a local.

The singer posted a video on TikTok of them dancing on a motorcycle which went viral on Thai social media. The video received nearly 70,000 likes and 1,600 comments, the majority of which were in Thai.

The 30 year old British singer rose to fame in 2014 when they released their most successful single ‘Stay With Me.’

Smith came out to the public in May 2014 and later self-defined as non-binary in October 2017. They stated publicly…
