EVA Air, a leading global airline, is excited to announce a significant upgrade to its fleet with the acquisition of new, next-generation Airbus aircraft. This strategic move is set to enhance the airline’s operational efficiency and passenger experience.

EVA Air has outlined plans to purchase 18 Airbus A350-1000 wide-body aircraft, with deliveries scheduled between 2026 and 2030. Additionally, the airline holds purchase options for six more of these aircraft. Complementing this expansion, EVA Air will also add 15 Airbus A321neos to its fleet, with deliveries beginning in 2029 and concluding in 2032. The total investment for these 33 new passenger aircraft is estimated at US$10.1 billion, based on the official 2023 Airbus list prices.

The Airbus A350-1000 represents the latest in long-range, wide-body passenger aircraft technology. With a flying range of up to 8,000 nautical miles, these aircraft are poised to bolster EVA Air’s capacity for growth and expansion, particularly in the North American market. Passengers can look forward to a more comfortable flying experience, thanks to the aircraft’s advanced design and amenities.

The Airbus A321neo is currently the industry’s most popular short-range narrow-body passenger aircraft. As an upgraded version of the existing A321-200s, the A321neo offers operational versatility. Its similarity to the A321-200 model allows EVA Air’s flight crews to operate both models interchangeably, reducing the need for additional staff and training costs. The airline plans to gradually retire its leased A321-200s before 2032.
