A 55 year old lottery winner tragically lost his life after being run over by a truck in Chon Buri yesterday. The man, identified as Praphan from Ubon Ratchathani, was found with a winning lottery ticket in his possession that he had not yet cashed.

At approximately 4.30pm, yesterday, April 6, police from Mueang Chon Buri received reports of an accident involving a motorcycle and a trailer truck on a road adjacent to the motorway in the Nong Khang Khok subdistrict. Upon arriving at the scene with the Tri-Koonatham Foundation rescue team, they discovered Praphan’s lifeless body.

The police found two lottery tickets dated March 16, with the number 807232, which had won a two-digit prize for the number 32.

Nearby, a blue-grey Honda Wave motorcycle was found along with an 18-wheel Isuzu truck, which had traces of blood on its left rear wheel.

Supachok, the 50 year old truck driver, claimed he was driving normally and did not see the motorcycle. He recounted hearing a noise similar to running over something. After stopping to inspect, he found the motorcycle overturned and realised he had accidentally run over a person.

Police plan to review CCTV footage from the scene to further investigate the incident and proceed with legal actions, reported KhaoSod.
