A 17 year old motorcyclist tragically lost his life after crashing into the back of a parked truck in Samut Prakan. Witnesses confirmed the young rider was speeding and weaving between lanes before the fatal incident occurred.

At around 10pm yesterday, officers from Bang Phli Police Station in Samut Prakan were alerted to a fatal accident involving a motorcycle and a truck on Suvarnabhumi Canal Road, heading towards Sukhumvit Road in Bang Pla Subdistrict, Bang Phli District. Upon receiving the report, police coordinated with the Ruamkatanyu Foundation to investigate the scene.

Upon arrival, police discovered the lifeless body of a 17 year old male. The victim had severe head injuries, with body parts scattered across the road and broken limbs. Nearby, a white Honda Lead motorcycle, lacking a license plate, was found in a mangled state. The truck driver was present, waiting to provide a statement to the police.

“I had parked to eat Kentucky Fried Chicken when I heard a loud bang from the rear of the truck. Upon checking, I found the young rider had crashed into the back of my truck and died instantly.”

Dashcam footage from a nearby vehicle captured the motorcycle overtaking on the left lane at high speed. The rider then moved to the right lane to overtake again before switching back to the left lane, ultimately crashing into the stationary truck, reported KhaoSod.

The police have taken the truck driver to the police station for further questioning. They are also reviewing CCTV footage from the accident scene and nearby areas to determine the exact cause of the accident and proceed with legal actions accordingly.
