Four injured in multi-vehicle crash near Welgrow Industrial Estate
A collision involving multiple vehicles occurred near the entrance to Welgrow Industrial Estate, resulting in injuries to four people. The accident took place late yesterday night on a road adjacent to the motorway in Bang Wua, Bang Pakong District, Chachoengsao Province.
Police reported that the incident involved a Honda Civic driven by 31 year old Suchon, which veered across lanes and collided head-on with a Toyota Vios driven by 26 year old Chanon. Twenty nine year old Saranporn was a passenger in Chanon’s vehicle.
According to the preliminary investigation, Suchon admitted that he had fallen asleep at the wheel while driving home, which caused his vehicle to lose control and cross into the opposite lane. The impact was severe and led to another collision involving a Honda PCX motorcycle driven by 28 year old Aphisit, who could not brake in time and crashed into the back of the Toyota Vios.
“I was driving back home and felt drowsy. Before I knew it, I had fallen asleep and lost control of my car,” Suchon recounted to the investigating officer.
Emergency services, including the Chachoengsao Rescue Unit, quickly arrived to assist. All four injured individuals were promptly transported to Chularat 11 Hospital for treatment. The vehicles involved in the accident suffered significant damage due to the force of the collisions, reported KhaoSod.
