Bus carrying dance troupe collides with car in Buriram

A dramatic road incident occurred when a bus carrying the Seang Esan Mor Lam dance troupe collided with a car making a U-turn on a street in Buriram, Thailand. Three dancers sustained minor injuries, but the show will go on as planned.

Yesterday, December 25, Police Lieutenant Napat Sutthithanakul from Satuek Police Station received a report of a collision between a passenger bus and a car on the Satuek-Kaen Dong Road near Ban Dong Yai Phao in the Satuek district. Upon arrival, along with Wang Krut Satuek rescue teams, they found a white Nissan bus from Nakhon Ratchasima, marked with a Seang Esan sticker, had crashed into a blue Ford sedan registered in Buriram.

The car, driven by a 78 year old German national, was positioned across the road, with the right rear door damaged. The bus sustained minor front-end damage.

The bus passengers, the Seang Esan Mor Lam dance troupe, experienced three minor injuries out of the 22 individuals on board. Rescue personnel provided first aid before transporting them to Satuek Hospital for further examination.

Thanya, the 49 year old bus driver, explained, “We were transporting dancers from Si Sa Ket to perform in Lam Thamenchai, Nakhon Ratchasima. As we reached the scene, the blue car suddenly made a U-turn right in front of us, and I couldn’t brake in time. Fortunately, I was driving slowly, or it could have been far worse.”

He reassured fans that the Seang Esan Mor Lam show would proceed as scheduled, with no severe injuries reported among the troupe members. Despite the unexpected incident, the troupe remains committed to performing, reported KhaoSod.
