Teen stabbed on Pattaya Beach during altercation
A violent altercation erupted in Pattaya when a local teenager, angered by a perceived slight, stabbed an outsider. The victim was attempting to help a friend when he was attacked. The police are actively pursuing the suspects.
At 3.06am today, June 26, Chaowalit Suwanmanee, Deputy Inspector of Pattaya City Police, received a report of a stabbing incident at Pattaya Beach, opposite Soi Pattaya Beach Seven, Moo 10, Nong Prue, Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri Province. Police patrol units, investigators, and rescue workers from Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation promptly responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, a scene of panic greeted the police. Tourists appeared shocked and distressed. On the pavement, they found 19 year old Jesada suffering from a severe knife wound beneath his right breast. Blood was pouring from the injury. Rescue workers provided immediate first aid and urgently transported him to the hospital.
Witnesses described the assailants as two slim, teenage males who fled the scene on a motorcycle. Jesada recounted that he and his friends were relaxing by the beach when one of his friends went to buy beer. Observing the suspects behaving aggressively, Jesada approached to aid his friend. Without warning, one of the teenagers drew a knife and stabbed him.
Supapit, a 22 year old friend of the injured, shared more details. She and her group had come from another province to celebrate a birthday in Pattaya. While they were sitting on the beach, her boyfriend went to ask where he could buy beer. He encountered the two teenagers, who questioned him about staring at them.
In response, he told them that if they were drunk, they should go home. Unexpectedly, the situation escalated, and Jesada, attempting to help, was stabbed, reported KhaoSod.
Chaowalit initially ordered a radio broadcast to intercept the suspects along potential escape routes, but so far, the suspects remain at large. Investigators are now reviewing CCTV footage in the area, hoping to track down and apprehend the perpetrators to face legal consequences.
