Prachinburi plantation owner killed in brutal attack
A tragic incident unfolded late yesterday, December 30, at a rubber plantation in Prachinburi province, as a plantation owner was brutally killed and his legs bound with a t-shirt, while an employee sustained serious injuries in the attack. The local villagers reported that a group of four to five individuals drove up to the area, leading to a confrontation that resulted in the grim event.
At approximately 11.30pm, the police were alerted by rescue officials about a murder at the rubber plantation located in Ban Ang Thong, Na Di district. Upon arrival, the police along with rescue teams discovered the lifeless body of 53 year old Kitti, lying in a pool of blood in the kitchen area of a hut in the plantation.
His legs were tied with a black t-shirt, and the kitchen floor was stained with blood. The seriously injured individual, identified as Pornchai, was taken to Na Di Hospital for medical treatment.
Villagers recounted hearing the sound of a vehicle driving up to the road and stopping, followed by the arrival of four to five assailants who approached the hut. A heated argument ensued between the group and the individuals inside the hut, which quickly escalated. The attackers fled the scene in their vehicle, leaving behind a scene of chaos and bloodshed.
Pornchai, who was injured during the confrontation, attempted to escape in a vehicle to seek help from the villagers. However, as it was late in the night, the residents were already asleep, making it difficult for him to get immediate assistance, reported KhaoSod.
Despite his injuries, he managed to drive back to the plantation to check on his employer, Kitti. It was only then that the villagers became aware of the situation and alerted the police.
