They discovered Vin Da bleeding profusely from a stab wound to his chest, lying on the street outside his room. He had also sustained injuries to his left wrist. The victim was immediately rushed to the hospital. A 20-centimetre kitchen knife, believed to be the weapon used in the attack, was found at the scene and taken as evidence, reported KhaoSod.

Inside the room, signs of a struggle were evident with furniture scattered around and a birthday cake for Vin’s girlfriend, Joy, still placed on the bedside table.

Vin’s 25 year old friend, Sola, also a Cambodian national, provided an account of the preceding events. According to him, the group had been celebrating Joy’s birthday at a bar. The couple had a heated argument after Vin was seen looking at another woman, triggering jealousy. Friends had urged the couple to go home and resolve their dispute peacefully. However, shortly after reaching their room, a violent altercation broke out.

“Suddenly, we heard them arguing loudly, and when we went to check, we found Vin lying on the street, bleeding heavily. His girlfriend was nowhere to be seen,” Sola said.

Initially, Itthikorn, who is leading the investigation, is coordinating with the Pattaya City Police Station’s investigation team to locate and question Joy, the victim’s girlfriend. Both parties will be interrogated to ensure a fair and legal proceeding.
