Hyatt Asia Pacific is making mindful dining effortless with the launch of its ‘Be More Foodie: Mindful Indulgence’ initiative across its eight properties in Thailand.

Collaborating with a certified nutritionist and wellness advisor, the hotels’ restaurants and bars have carefully curated dishes and drinks that not only delight the taste buds but also meet high nutritional standards, prioritising the well-being of diners.

Embracing Hyatt’s food philosophy ‘Food. Thoughtfully Sourced. Carefully Served,’ translates to serving food and beverages that are good for people, communities, and the planet.

The ‘Be More Foodie: Mindful indulgence’ also prioritises responsibly sourced ingredients from local Thai farmers to reinforce Hyatt’s commitment to sustainability while delivering authentic flavours. This campaign also aligns with the shifting consumer behaviour towards opting for more health-conscious ingredients.

What food do they offer?

As a country renowned for its rich culinary heritage, Thailand offers the perfect backdrop for the launch of ‘Be More Foodie: Mindful Indulgence’, inviting diners to savour carefully curated dishes and drinks that not only delight the taste buds but also meet high nutritional standards.

These include Thai classics such as Pad Thai, Gai Yang, and Mango Sticky Rice, which have been given a mindful makeover, with reduced sugar and added fibre to enhance their overall nutritional profile while staying true to the authentic flavours.

Western comfort foods have been elevated by incorporating nutrient-packed ingredients, such as whole grain pizzas topped with local organic vegetables and buckwheat crepe suzette with mixed berries and orange. For drinks, guests can expect creatively crafted low-alcohol and zero-alcohol beverages and functional smoothies.

Sandra Lim, a certified nutritionist explained the importance of merging nutrition alongside art to create the perfect culinary experience from the Hyatt.

“Mindful indulgence isn’t about limiting yourself to salads and grain bowls—it’s about relishing your favourite dishes, knowing they’ve been thoughtfully prepared with your well-being and sustainability in mind.”

Special guests and sustainable eating

In this instance, she also referred to how Hyatt Regency Koh Samui and Hyatt Regency Hua Hin source vegetables, herbs, cheeses, and seafood directly from local communities. Meanwhile, Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort has its own herb garden.

Additionally, most of the chicken, pork, and beef used by the properties come from high animal welfare, pasture-raised, organic farms across Thailand, ensuring quality and sustainability.

The conference was joined by two very special guests who shared their insights about healthy eating. There was Actress Jarinya ‘Kaew’ Sirimongkolsakul and two-time Taekwondo Olympic champion Panipak ‘Tennis’ Wongpattanakit.

Jarinya, who embraced home-grown produce, shared her insight as to why she decided to prioritise this way of eating.

“Personally, I have always enjoyed eating delicious food. As I grew older, my lifestyle changed. I began prioritising health and balance in life. Eating better improved my well-being, providing a refreshing and comfortable feel,

“With increasing organic options, such as Hyatt’s campaign utilising local farm produce, aligning with health trends, we now have more ways to savour fresh, delicious and nutritious meals.”

To add to that, Panipak added her input to the discussion about the importance of healthy eating. Considering that she is an athlete, she highlighted how eating healthy supported her career as a Tae Kwon Do athlete and an Olympian but she still has her cravings too.
