Man cut off his penis after child sexual abuse charges

After being accused of child sexual abuse, a man in Indonesia attempted to end his own life in a cringy, gruesome way. The man got into his shower and cut off his penis.

The incident took place in the Sikka regency, an area on the island of East Nusa Tenggara (neighbour to the famous Komodo island) on Saturday. The Bola Police had recently filed a police report after a family alleged that a family member had been the victim of child sexual abuse at the hands of the 32 year old man.

Police were originally scheduled to pick him up at his home today to face charges, and the case is still ongoing. But officers reported that after the accusations, they were summoned to his home sooner when the man cut off his penis while attempting suicide.

“A few days earlier he was reported to the Sikka Police over child sexual abuse allegations, so [the case] is being processed.”

But before they could pick the accused up to face child sexual abuse accusations, the man took drastic action. A neighbour said they had been chatting on Saturday in the early afternoon. The man then abruptly left, saying he was going for a shower.

Police were summoned around 1pm when the neighbour found the man drenched in blood. Officers described the man as having blood coming out of his genital area.

According to Coconuts, after being accused of child sexual abuse, the man used a sickle to chop off his own penis. What happened next is a bit unclear.

When police arrived, they found the severed penis in the bathroom, stored in a mason jar after being cut off. Authorities say they are unsure whether the man collected his own genitals after slicing them off. But they believe it is more likely a family member collected his member after finding the man and the horrifying scene.
