A Malaysian groom faced a heart-wrenching day as he lost his mother and got married on the same day. Ikmal and his bride, Ianna Bahari, held his mother’s funeral in the morning and then proceeded with their wedding ceremony in the evening.

Ianna shared the gut-wrenching experience on TikTok, explaining that she and Ikmal had initially planned their wedding for the evening, but had to adjust their schedule after the Malaysian groom’s mother passed away, with her funeral scheduled for the morning of the same day. In spite of his loss, Ikmal honoured his commitment to his bride by first attending his mother’s funeral and then hastening to the wedding venue to exchange vows with Ianna.

Deeply moved by the events, Ianna posted on TikTok to express her gratitude and support for her husband.

“My husband is facing a huge test, and I swear I will be with you forever. Thank you, friends, for your support and thank you for choosing me as your wife.”

“May you and your wife stay strong in facing all the trials. I wish you a happy new married life and may the departed soul travel with good health.”

“After losing your mother, God has sent your wife, who are the two most important women in your life.”

“I don’t know whether to congratulate or sympathise. May everything go well.”
