Known as Friends character Chandler Bing, news of Matthew Perry’s sudden death shocked fans worldwide as well as his co-stars including Courteney Cox and Matt Le Blanc. Both Cox and Le Blanc have since paid their respects to their late co-star Perry who passed away recently, on October 28 in Los Angeles.
Chandler Bing’s wife Monica Geller, aka Cox, took to Instagram to celebrate the career of her on-screen husband. She shared a video of Perry in character, accompanied by the caption:
“I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day.
“When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now here’s one of my favourites.”
Matt Le Blanc, aka Joey Tribbiani on the series, also made a post to show his fond memory of his on-screen roommate.
“It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among the favourite times of my life.
“It was an honour to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you and I’ll never forget you. Never.”
The 54 year old late Friends star was discovered dead at his LA residence three weeks ago, reported BBC News.
Fans of the comedy series all around the globe mourned the actor’s death.
Other familiar faces of the series, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, and Lisa Kudrow gave a statement together, stating that it has been very difficult for all of them to come to terms with the loss of their much-loved co-star.
“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We will always cherish the joy, the light, the blinding intelligence he brought to every moment, not just to his work, but in life as well.
“He was always the funniest person in the room. More than that, he was the sweetest, with a giving and selfless heart.”
Perry’s burial was held on November 3. Investigations on the cause of death are underway.
