The impact had left the driver pinned inside the mangled vehicle, forcing rescuers to pry the car open to free him, said one rescuer.

“It took about 15 minutes to carefully extract the injured man.”

He was immediately rushed to Vachira Phuket Hospital for urgent medical attention. His current condition and the extent of his injuries remain unknown.

In similar news, a serious collision in Chachoengsao province left a 56 year old truck driver severely injured after his 10-wheel truck crashed into the rear of an 18-wheel trailer. The impact pushed the trailer into a parked car, prompting an emergency response.

Police Lieutenant Rewat Abdin of Bang Nam Priao district received the alert and dispatched emergency teams to Suwinthawong Road, near a convenience store just before a bridge in Mueang Chachoengsao district.

At the scene, a yellow Hino truck from Samut Prakan was wedged into the back of a white Hino trailer from Nakhon Pathom. The force of the collision caused the trailer to strike a parked black Toyota Fortuner.

The truck driver, Natthawut Srikaew, suffered severe leg injuries and was trapped inside his vehicle. Locals attempted to help but were unable to free him. Emergency responders arrived swiftly, using extraction tools to rescue him before transporting him for urgent medical treatment.
