The Tourist Police Bureau conducted a raid on a beauty salon in Pattaya, resulting in the arrest of Vietnamese nationals for working illegally in a restricted occupation. The operation took place on Tuesday, February 4, under the directive of Police Lieutenant Colonel Piyapong Raksa, Deputy Superintendent of Investigation at the bureau.

Residents had alerted the police about foreign nationals allegedly working unlawfully at a beauty salon on the railway road near Soi Nern Plub Wan. Acting on this information, officers visited the salon during business hours to conduct an inspection.

Upon their arrival, the officers discovered a group of foreign nationals providing hairdressing services to customers.

They identified themselves and presented their official identification before requesting to speak with the salon’s manager or owner. A Thai female employee approached the officers and allowed them to inspect the identification documents of the foreign workers.

Pol. Lt. Col. Piyapong disclosed that the workers were Vietnamese nationals. Their employment was deemed illegal as hairdressing is a profession restricted to Thai nationals under local law.

Consequently, the Vietnamese workers were apprehended and transferred to investigators for further legal action, reported The Pattaya News.
