Pattaya’s new Bali Hai Pier to boost access to Koh Larn

Pattaya City is making waves with the announcement of a major development, the construction of a new pier at Bali Hai, South Pattaya.
Designed to offer a safer and more efficient boarding point for small boats, this new facility promises to enhance access to popular destinations like Koh Larn and other nearby islands just in time for the busy summer season.
The project, which has garnered positive feedback from locals and visitors, aims to streamline access to the crystal-clear waters and exciting activities Pattaya is known for.
Tourists eager to dive, fish, or explore the surrounding islands will soon benefit from a much-improved docking point.
The city’s ongoing efforts to upgrade its infrastructure have been well-received, with many praising the move as an essential step in boosting Pattaya’s tourism offerings.
Locals have shared their excitement on social media, with some even suggesting the addition of free parking, similar to what’s available at Bang Saen, to make the area even more accessible.
Others have expressed hope that the pier will bring a fresh influx of visitors, further enhancing the city’s reputation as a world-class tourist destination, reported Pattaya Mail.
As Pattaya continues to improve its infrastructure, this new pier is seen as a critical part of the city’s commitment to offering better services to locals and tourists.
From ease of access to improved safety for boat passengers, the new pier represents the city’s ambition to stay ahead of the curve in Thailand’s competitive tourism market.
In other news, holidaymakers were left terrified and injured when a speedboat exploded near Koh Mai Thon, off Phuket’s coast, yesterday, April 1. The blast injured six people, including three foreign tourists, a tour guide, and two crew members, one of whom was the captain. All were rushed to the hospital.
The speedboat, Thana Marine 555, had set off from Tha Chalong Pier earlier for a snorkelling and sightseeing trip with 33 tourists. However, the trip took a dangerous turn around 9am when the boat, having arrived near Koh Mai Thon, experienced engine trouble before bursting into flames and exploding.
