According to Police Lieutenant Santhaya Khanthap, Deputy Chief of Investigation at Pattaya City Police Station, his team was immediately dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a violent argument between two groups.

Upon arrival, officers found a group of motorcycle taxi drivers and a trio of Chinese tourists involved in a heated exchange. The situation had quickly turned physical, with both sides landing blows on each other.

The taxi drivers recounted that the trouble began when the group of Chinese tourists entered a private area marked with signs prohibiting urination.

Despite being confronted by the drivers and asked to leave, the tourists refused to comply. Frustration mounted as the argument escalated, with both parties pushing and grabbing one another by the collars before things took a violent turn, leading to the physical confrontation, reported Channel 7 News.

Pol. Lt. Santhaya, determined to resolve the situation, brought both parties to the Pattaya City Police Station for questioning. The aim was to understand the underlying cause of the dispute and determine if any criminal charges would be pursued.

“We will investigate the matter thoroughly. If both sides are unhappy with the charges, we will proceed with legal action. However, if they choose not to press charges, they will be asked to apologise and part ways peacefully.”
