Pattaya beauty clinic busted for illegal medical practices

Police raided a beauty clinic in Soi Kor Phai, off Thepprasit Road in Pattaya following complaints about unlicensed operations and unqualified staff performing medical procedures.

The clinic, which promised beauty enhancement services, was caught red-handed today, April 23, operating without the proper legal permits and medical certifications.

Police Major General Teerachai Chamnarnmor, Commander of the Region 2 Investigation Division, led a team of investigators, including Jirasan Meerattanawat, Senior Specialist Pharmacist, and officials from Chon Buri’s Provincial Public Health office, to inspect the clinic after multiple reports of substandard and illegal practices.

The clinic, located in a four-storey commercial building, was found offering various beauty services such as injectable fillers, Botox, and skin vitamin treatments, all without licensed medical professionals.

Upon entering the clinic, the officers encountered a 35 year old receptionist, called A in this article, who, along with other staff members, was promoting unapproved treatments.

As they moved through the clinic, officers discovered an alarming scene. On the ground floor, they found a 37 year old woman, B, administering a filler injection to a client, assisted by another staff member, C, also aged 37.

Further investigation revealed a second-floor room filled with medical supplies, including Botox, syringes, and filler substances, while the third floor had been converted into a facial massage room.

When asked for the clinic’s operating permits and medical licences, none were provided. The clinic’s staff had no certification or proof of professional qualifications, raising serious concerns about patient safety. As a result, all staff members were taken into custody for questioning at Pattaya City Police Station.

Jirasan Meerattanawat explained that the Public Health Office had received numerous complaints about the clinic’s use of unqualified persons performing medical procedures, prompting the urgent investigation.

The police have now filed multiple charges against the clinic, including operating without a licence, running an illegal medical facility, and performing medical services without a valid licence, reported Pattaya Mail.
