Lover’s leap: Thai teen falls from Pattaya condo after lover’s spat
A Thai teen is fighting for her life after a heated argument with her foreign boyfriend ended with her falling from the 14th floor of a Pattaya condominium.
The 19 year old girl, Jane, was left with critical injuries after plummeting from the 14th floor of a condo in Nong Prue subdistrict, Bang Lamung district, Chon Buri province.
At around 4.30am, today, March 10, the Sawangboriboon Rescue Centre received an urgent call reporting that someone had fallen from a significant height. Emergency services, including Pattaya City Police and related agencies, swiftly descended upon the scene.
Security guards at the condo were the first to reach the troubled teenager, discovering her gravely injured in the garden at the entrance of the complex.
Lying amidst the foliage, she was bleeding from her mouth and had sustained multiple fractures and broken limbs. Rescue teams administered immediate first aid before rushing her to Pattaya City Hospital, where she remains in a serious condition.
According to the condo’s security personnel, the evening began uneventfully, with Jane spotted going out with her foreign boyfriend and returning later together. However, their return was soon marred by the sounds of a violent altercation emanating from their apartment.
One vigilant security guard, while making his rounds, witnessed the young woman standing precariously on the 14th-floor balcony. Moments later, he watched in horror as she toppled over the railing, crashing first into a tree before landing on the grass below, sustaining life-threatening injuries.
The police were promptly notified, and officers immediately attempted to speak with her boyfriend. However, their efforts were frustrated by his state of extreme intoxication, which left him unable to recall the evening’s events clearly, Amarin TV reported.
Officers have taken him in for further questioning and are rapidly examining evidence to determine the series of events that led to the shocking fall.
