A woman relaxing alone at Cha-am Beach around 11pm last night believed that no one would come to charge her for using the beach chairs at such a late hour. Unexpectedly, a man on a motorbike arrived to collect a 200 baht fee, claiming it was a discounted rate.

A Facebook page, อยากดังเดี๋ยวจัดให้ รีเทริน์ part 7, shared a complaint from a follower who had an unusual experience at Cha-am Beach in Phetchaburi province. The post detailed how the woman, who had parked near a convenience store yesterday, September 9, chose to rest on a beach chair while her friends went for a walk and bought snacks.

A man on a motorbike pulled up beside the woman after 20 minutes and stated he came to collect the beach chair fee. She inquired about the cost, assuming it would be a nominal charge for her single chair. To her surprise, the man calculated the fee based on the number of chairs laid out, resulting in a charge for eight chairs. She was confused by this unusual pricing system.

The man explained that there were eight chairs at 30 baht each, totalling 240 baht, but he would only charge her 200 baht as a discount. He mentioned that the central table was included at no extra cost. Feeling uncertain about the local system, she reluctantly paid the 200 baht and shared a photo of the payment slip to substantiate her claim.

After her post went online, numerous comments poured in, questioning the legitimacy of the man collecting the fee. Many users suggested that he might not be the owner and could be impersonating someone to collect money.

They advised verifying with nearby vendors about the man’s authenticity or taking a photo of the individual collecting the fee as evidence, reported KhaoSod.
