Hiss and hers: Woman brings dead king cobra to hospital after bite

A woman bitten by a 3-metre-long king cobra astonished hospital staff by bringing the dead snake with her for treatment in eastern Thailand.
The incident, which occurred while she was foraging for mushrooms in the forest, has become a widely shared topic online. According to a Facebook post, the woman was bitten by the cobra and sought medical attention, but she decided to bring the dead snake, measuring approximately 3 to 4 metres, which shocked those at the hospital.

“Supin Wanphen, my incredibly brave friend, went mushroom picking and was bitten by a king cobra. She killed the snake with her own hands and brought it to the hospital. She’s truly amazing. Pin is now out of the ICU and safe.”
The woman had a severe bite wound on her left leg. This event took place in Watthana Nakhon district, Sa Kaeo province, on the morning of April 19, reported KhaoSod.

In similar news, a Thai rescuer was rendered unconscious after a 4-metre-long python coiled around his neck while he was attempting to remove it from a Bangkok home.
The incident occurred at 10.12pm on April 1, when a local, Oh, contacted the Por Teck Tung Foundation for assistance at her residence on Soi Bang Waek 75 in Phasi Charoen district. She reported that one of the rescuers had passed out inside her home during the operation.
Upon arriving at the two-storey wooden house, rescue personnel discovered 68 year old Jarun Marbkhuntod lying unconscious. They immediately administered CPR before transporting him to Siriraj Hospital. The python responsible for the attack had already been captured and placed in a sack.
Oh explained that she had called the rescue hotline after spotting two pythons in her house. She also revealed that she owned seven cats, one of which had been killed by the snakes, while four others had mysteriously disappeared.
