A viral video captures a white sedan dangerously cutting off an ambulance twice before abruptly braking, causing distress to the patient, medical staff, and relatives inside.

Yesterday, October 14, a Facebook user named Makeke Steiker posted a plea to identify the driver of a white Toyota CH-R sedan. The incident occurred yesterday between 3.05am and 3.10am. The TNB Ambulance, carrying a patient, was travelling from Khon Kaen to Chon Buri, with a relative’s vehicle following closely behind.

As they reached the outbound gate from Khon Kaen towards Mittraphap, heading to Korat, the white sedan with Udon Thani registration cut in front of the ambulance twice.

In the first instance, the sedan overtook from the left, swerved to the right in front of the ambulance, and then suddenly braked despite the clear road ahead, nearly causing a collision. Shortly after, the sedan repeated the dangerous manoeuvre, this time from the right lane, cutting left and braking abruptly again. This second incident was even closer to resulting in a crash.

This dangerous behaviour caused significant distress to those inside the ambulance. The patient, along with the medical staff and relatives, felt highly uneasy and unsafe due to the reckless driving of the white sedan, reported KhaoSod.

“I don’t know what problem you have with the ambulance or if you’re upset about something, but this made the patient, along with the medical staff and relatives, very anxious.”

The poster also makes a poignant remark.

“If it were your parents in that ambulance, you certainly wouldn’t be happy with such an event.”

In related news, a white pickup truck blocking an ambulance on its way to tend to a foreign patient experiencing chest pain has sparked a social backlash. The incident occurred on December 25 last year, with the 48 year old poster of the clip, Taveeporn, urging people to make way for ambulances.
