A thief targeted an apartment building in Pattaya and made off with valuables worth over 10,000 baht. This incident unfolded at a two-story apartment on Soi Khao Talo 9, in the Nong Prue subdistrict of Bang Lamung district, Chon Buri province.

Officers from Nong Prue Police Station arrived at the scene following a theft report at 2.06am yesterday, September 5. On the second floor, the officers met Koranit Malapan, a bar worker, who was waiting inside her room.

Koranit said the suspect climbed the second-floor balcony, removed the window panes, and entered her room through the back window to steal several items. Among the stolen items were a gold ring, a gold-encased Buddha amulet, and cash saved in a piggy bank, totalling over 10,000 baht.

“I left for work at 1pm, and when I returned around 1am after my shift, I found my belongings ransacked and several valuable items missing.”

Another resident, Jutharat Somnuk, who works at the same bar as Koranit, reported that the thief had forced open her front door lock. The 25 year old woman said the thief ransacked her room and stole an Indian silver ring and a fake gold necklace weighing 1 baht.

“I returned to the apartment at the same time as Koranit. When I arrived, I found my front door pried open, but luckily, the stolen necklace was only a fake.”

Nong Prue police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area and are working to apprehend the suspect, reported Pattaya News.
