Royal Thai Police are intensifying their efforts to capture the suspect involved in a gold heist at a Thung Song shopping mall. Police gathered around 70% of evidence pointing to the suspect’s identity and announced a 100,000 baht reward for information leading to his arrest.

The incident occurred recently when a man, disguised in clothing that completely concealed his face, brandished a firearm and robbed the Yaowarat Bangkok gold shop inside a prominent retail mall in Thung Song, Nakhon Si Thammarat province. The thief made off with gold jewellery weighing a total of 58 baht and placed a fake bomb on a glass display case to deter pursuit.
