A Thai woman expressed her frustration on TikTok after being harassed by a middle-aged woman trying to recruit her into a religious cult at a bus stop in Bangkok. Despite trying to ignore the woman, the persistent attempts to convert her continued.

A TikTok user known as @kulturechock shared a clip warning others about an incident at the Victory Monument bus stop. The video features a middle-aged woman persistently trying to persuade her to join a religious cult, saying, “Repeat after me, ‘Our Father in Heaven.'”

Each question was followed by an insistence to repeat the phrase, “Our Father in Heaven.”

The TikTok user, visibly uncomfortable, tried to ignore the woman’s advances. Despite her efforts, the woman continued to press, saying, “I will pray for you. Repeat after me, ‘Our Father in Heaven.'”

The TikTok user eventually responded, “I am Buddhist,” hoping it would end the harassment, reported KhaoSod.

Instead, the woman replied, “It doesn’t matter. You don’t have to change your religion. Just pray and cleanse your sins. Repeat after me, ‘Our Father in Heaven.'”

The victim strongly made her feelings clear to the god botherer.

“It is inappropriate to harass us like this.”

In related news, a bus stop sign erected in the middle of a bush sparked a heated debate online, with netizens criticising its impractical location and safety concerns. The popular Facebook page Footpath Thai Style recently shared an image of a newly installed bus stop sign placed awkwardly within a bush on a narrow and uneven footpath.

The page highlighted the location on Narathiwat Road near the Chong Nonsi BTS station, noting how the sign’s placement forces commuters to push through natural barriers just to access the footpath.
