The hallowed Sri Song Tham temple, colloquially known as Ai Khai temple, located at Nong Khla village, Don Hai Sok subdistrict, Nong Han district, Udon Thani province, experienced a quiet lull yesterday despite it being famous for its lottery predictions. Despite the imminent national lottery draw on Friday, the usually bustling temple grounds were unusually silent, with fewer locals and visitors seeking blessings or inspecting the sacred amulets made by the temple’s monks for good fortune.

The temple is renowned for its lottery prediction capabilities, with a full two-digit match in the previous draw, triggering widespread excitement amongst lottery enthusiasts countrywide.

On the night of November 15, which coincided with the traditional Loy Krathong Festival, the temple’s monks prepared a batch of sacred amulets. These are eagerly sought after by those seeking lucky numbers for their lottery picks. However, this time round, the divination from the candle wax drippings was not as clear, leading to different interpretations of the potential winning numbers.

As per some interpretations, the numbers 950 and 056 were discernible, while others saw the numbers 16 or 19. Despite the varying interpretations, the devotees remain hopeful that the temple’s divine intercession may bring them luck in the upcoming lottery draw on December 1, reported Sanook.

The tranquillity of the temple on this particular day, a contrast to the usual bustle, accentuated the anticipation and suspense surrounding the forthcoming lottery draw. Whether the predictions come true or not, the devotees’ faith in the temple’s divine powers remains unshaken. Whether it is the quiet calm before the storm of excitement or a sign of changing times remains to be seen.

In Thailand, lottery enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the results of Friday’s draw on December 1. Various predictions for the winning numbers have surfaced, encompassing a spectrum of methods, including traditional rituals, recent happenings, and unconventional factors like the heights and ages of celebrities.
