A mentally ill Thai man went on a rampage at a shopping mall in the Isaan province of Khon Kaen after a worker at an iCare store was unable to repair his phone because he could not remember his Apple ID password.
A video of the incident was shared by several media outlets, showing his violent behaviour at the iCare store and other locations both inside and outside the shopping mall. He began to lose control when the female worker handed his iPhone back, explaining that she was unable to access or fix it without the password.
The man put his phone back in its box and slammed the lid shut before screaming in a rage.
“This has happened too many times!”
The worker was shocked by his reaction and sought help from her colleagues. The man rushed out of the store, continuing to mumble to himself and occasionally shouting. He was seen stooping down, smashing his fists on the ground, and screaming before continuing to walk.
According to witnesses, the man damaged several items inside the mall while making his way out. He also damaged motorcycles and motorcycle helmets belonging to other shoppers outside before leaving on his motorcycle.

Officers from Mueang Khon Kaen Police Station later identified the man as 26 year old Keerin. He was found standing outside an army base in the province and was taken to the police station for questioning.
Police contacted his family and discovered that Keerin had a mental illness and was due for a follow-up appointment with a doctor on February 28.

Keerin’s younger brother later took to social media to apologise to the store workers and other shoppers at the mall for his brother’s actions.
According to Channel 7, police transferred Keerin to Khon Kaen Rajanagarindra Psychiatric Hospital for proper treatment.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident but the cost of the damage Keerin caused has not yet been disclosed to the public.
