Store brothers killed in Chachoengsao bike crash

Driver breaks down in tears as police investigate deadly impact on Highway 3076

A devastating road accident in Chachoengsao claimed the lives of two brothers yesterday afternoon, leaving colleagues and bystanders in shock.

The fatal collision occurred at around 4.30pm yesterday, July 24, along Highway 3076 near the Rural Roads Office in Khlong Takrao subdistrict. Officers from Tha Takiap Police Station and emergency responders from the Panom Tha Takiap rescue unit rushed to the scene after receiving a report of a car slamming into a motorcycle.

Upon arrival, rescue teams found the lifeless bodies of two men lying on the road beside their overturned motorcycle. The pair were later confirmed to be brothers who worked together at a local convenience store—one as the branch manager, the other as an employee.

The vehicle involved was a white Ford Everest, which suffered serious front-end damage. The 25 year old female driver was found at the scene in a state of distress, reportedly crying and visibly shaken.

“I didn’t see them coming. It looked like they lost control and swerved in front of me,” the driver told officers.

Witnesses say the crash occurred suddenly, giving the car little time to react. The impact was so severe that both brothers were killed instantly, reported KhaoSod.

Grief-stricken colleagues arrived shortly after and were overwhelmed with emotion upon seeing their friends’ bodies. Many broke down in tears, struggling to comprehend the sudden loss.

Police have launched a full investigation into the cause of the crash. As part of standard procedure, the bodies of the two men were sent to a local hospital for autopsy and formal identification before being released to their families for religious rites.

“We are examining CCTV in the area and taking statements to determine the exact cause of the accident,” said a police spokesperson.

The incident has prompted renewed calls for greater caution on rural highways, where speeding and blind curves often result in fatal consequences.
