Premchai poaching trail scheduled to start November

A date with the Thai courts has been set for Premchai Karnasuta, the Thai construction tycoon who’s headed to trial on charges of poaching.

JS100 News is reporting that the first witnesses will take the stand on November 27 to testify against the mogul who’s the head of Italian-Thai Development. He’s been indicted on six charges related to poaching on an alleged hunting trip in a wildlife sanctuary in Kanchanaburi back in February.
It sounds like a sensational TV crime drama, but Thailand was gripped by this real-life scandal in February with the arrest of Premchai Karnasuta, 64, managing director of SET-listed construction firm Italian-Thai Development. His picture was splashed across newspapers, caught on the scene – Forbes
The hearing will run for a month with 49 witnesses having an appointment with the witness stand, from both sides. Premchai has also been charged with illegal possession of firearms, which is scheduled to be tried separately in July 2019.
