Situated in front of the cafe, the Optimus robot stands approximately 4 metres tall, decorated with a yellow floral garland and three-coloured cloth tied around its legs. An incense pot and a tablet with a prayer to Optimus are placed nearby.

The prayer reads:

“Om Namo Optimus Primaya, Transforming steel leads to victory, Roll out, guide me through all paths, bring fortune and wealth, Om Puto Aboonyang, Good luck, power of Autobots, protect me!”

Locals have brought numerous offerings since its installation on March 18.

Reporters learned that 31 year old Wisaruta Rakwangwan, who manages Vegas Cafe, won 4,000 baht from two lottery tickets by praying to Optimus.

During yesterday’s lottery draw, she and two friends lit incense for Optimus, revealing the number 251, which she couldn’t find in the app. Instead, she found 251736 and jokingly bought two tickets, which turned out to be winners.

Niwat explained that the cafe owner, inspired by the Optimus statue in Talat Noi, Bangkok, prayed for business success and decided to purchase a similar statue.

After achieving the desired sales target, the owner sought to buy the Talat Noi Optimus but learned it had been given to another district. Subsequently, they sourced and acquired the current statue.

The cafe employees purchased garlands and cloth, and the prayer was found online and engraved on a stone tablet. The statue was meant to be a local attraction. The manager won the lottery after praying to the statue, despite it not having been there for long, reported Sanook.

Niwat emphasised that the statue does not conflict with religious beliefs and is intended to reflect modern interpretations of faith. Visitors are welcome to view or pray at Vegas Cafe on Nakorn In Road, Bang Kruai, Nonthaburi province.
