Using her phone signal, police located the foreign woman in the Bang Ya Phraek sub-district, Mueang Samut Sakhon district, Samut Sakhon Province. Her location was near a road lined on both sides by the mangrove forests along the coast of the Gulf of Thailand.

Officers quickly arrived at the scene, calling out for the woman but everything remained silent. Later, the Indonesian woman emerged from the mangrove forest onto a dirt road, appearing relieved and happy to meet the officials.

The Indonesian woman explained that she was travelling in Thailand with her German male classmate. They rented a car and were on their way to meet his wife. When they reached the area, the German man had an argument with his wife over the phone.

The man just discovered that his wife sold a house he bought for her. He was extremely angry and chose to vent his frustration on his Indonesian friend, asking her to get out of the car and abandoning her there along with her valuables and belongings.

The Indonesian woman insisted she did not want to pursue legal action against her German friend, only requesting that officials take her to Suvarnabhumi International Airport so she could return to her home country.
