Samut Prakan garage shootout leaves 1 dead, 2 seriously injured

Police search for clues and CCTV footage to identify the gunmen

A shooting at a car repair shop in Samut Prakan left one person dead and two others seriously injured, prompting a police investigation into the incident.

The violent incident occurred around 5.20pm yesterday, September 29, and is currently under investigation by local police.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire at the garage, located at the end of Soi Si Samit. Upon arrival, they discovered one man dead at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds. Two others were found critically injured and were quickly transported to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.

Early reports suggest the gunfight broke out within the premises of the garage, although it remains unclear what triggered the violence.

Police are actively gathering statements from witnesses and examining the scene for ballistic evidence. Officers are also working to identify the type of weapons used and any possible connection between those involved.

“We’re currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area to establish the sequence of events and determine what led to the exchange of gunfire.”

Investigators believe the CCTV recordings from nearby buildings and traffic cameras could hold key clues to identifying the gunmen and understanding whether the attack was premeditated or the result of a confrontation gone wrong, reported KhaoSod.
