Homeless man arrested for filming volunteer in Bangkok toilet

A homeless man was apprehended after secretly filming a female volunteer bathing in a portable toilet near the site of a collapsed building in Bangkok. The incident occurred early today, April 24, when the victim reported the invasion of privacy to the police at 12.30am.
Somchai Chomchat, a committee member of the Sai Mai District Civil Protection Volunteer Centre, recounted the incident. At the time, the team was preparing food for volunteers working at the collapsed building site.
He heard a woman screaming from inside the portable toilet and immediately notified the operations command. The team discovered that the female volunteer had been secretly watched while bathing.
Police, along with over 50 volunteers, launched a search for the suspect, eventually locating him in front of a department store opposite the collapsed building. The man was wearing a black shirt and jeans.
Upon arrest, he confessed to peeking at the volunteer while she was bathing and admitted to recording a video of the incident, reported KhaoSod.
The victim has since filed a complaint at Bang Sue Police Station, seeking legal action against the perpetrator.

In similar news, a Thai man was caught secretly filming nude football players in the shower at a sports facility in Nonthaburi province, just outside Bangkok. The incident occurred on March 2, but no legal action was taken.
Hammueyoh Awae, a 35 year old security team leader at the football field, initially posted a video of the confrontation on his Facebook page before later removing it. The incident came to light when a player noticed a mobile phone being aimed at his shower cubicle and immediately alerted Hammueyoh.
Upon investigation, the guard found the suspect hiding in an adjacent toilet cubicle. After asking to inspect the man’s phone, Hammueyoh discovered numerous explicit videos of men stored on the device. Despite the clear evidence, no charges were filed.
