Heartbroken Thai woman directs men from dating app to neighbour’s homes

A Thai woman deceived several men she met on a dating application by directing them to her neighbours’ homes in Bangkok, causing chaos in the community. The suspect claimed she carried out the deception as an act of revenge.

Three families living in Mueang Pracha Village on Hathairat Road in the Khlong Samwa district of Bangkok filed complaints with Nimitmai Police Station between January and February after being repeatedly disturbed by strangers.

The families reported that strange men arrived at their homes asking for a woman named Bow. They claimed to have arranged meetings with this woman and followed the locations she shared. The families insisted that no one named Bow lived at their addresses.

Some of the strangers politely asked for Bow, while others entered the properties without permission. Female family members were left fearful, worried that some of the strangers might pose a threat.

Police officers investigated the identity of Bow and discovered that the woman also lived in the area. Although her real name was not Bow, the police did not disclose her true identity to the public.

The suspect was summoned for questioning yesterday, March 11. She admitted to her actions and expressed remorse, insisting that she did not intend to frighten or disturb her neighbours but merely wanted to play a prank on the men.

Revenge and satisfaction

The woman explained that she had previously engaged in online dating with a man through the application. However, after being deceived and abandoned by him, she decided to take revenge. She created a new account using a fake profile and approached other men on the app.

She revealed that she arranged to meet each man but provided her neighbours’ addresses instead of her own. When the men arrived, she would watch them from inside her home, feeling a sense of satisfaction.

The woman faces a fine of up to 5,000 baht for violating Section 397 of the Criminal Law: bullying, threatening, and causing embarrassment or annoyance to another person. She was also charged under the Computer Act, although the details of the offence have not been disclosed.

A similar incident occurred around the same time in Nonthaburi province. A 53 year old Thai woman sought help after multiple strangers arrived at her home seeking sex services.

Police discovered that another Thai woman, who has an extensive criminal history, was behind the incident. She allegedly tricked men into paying for sex services and provided the victim’s address rather than her own.
