Bangkok and 46 provinces brace for thunderstorms and heavy rain

Weather forecasts indicate that 47 provinces in Thailand will experience thunderstorms and strong winds, with Bangkok likely to see heavy rainfall from the afternoon into the evening. Residents are advised to remain cautious, especially in southern regions where rain is expected to cover 60% of the area.
The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) predicts that the upper part of the country will continue to experience thunderstorms and gusty winds, accompanied by hot weather.
This is due to the southwest winds affecting the upper regions. People in these areas should be vigilant of potential weather hazards and maintain their health due to the heat.
In the south, thunderstorms are also expected, influenced by westerly winds over the Andaman Sea and southern Thailand.
The Andaman Sea will see waves reaching about 1 metre, increasing to over 2 metres during thunderstorms. Mariners in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea are advised to avoid sailing in thunderstorm areas.
The accumulation of dust and smog in the upper regions remains low to moderate due to moderate wind strength and sporadic rainfall.
The weather forecast from 6am today until 6am tomorrow details various regional conditions.
