The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) forecasted thunderstorms for tomorrow, warning that 39 provinces, including Bangkok, will be affected. The northern regions are expected to be hit the hardest, with 70% of the area experiencing heavy rainfall. Residents are advised to be cautious of potential flash floods and forest runoff.

The TMD issued a 24-hour weather forecast indicating that the upper northern and northeastern regions will experience very heavy rainfall in some areas. Central, eastern, and lower southern regions will also see heavy rain in certain areas.

Residents in these regions should be vigilant for severe weather conditions and accumulated rainfall, which may lead to flash floods and landslides, particularly in mountainous areas near waterways and low-lying regions.

The current weather conditions are due to the monsoon trough passing through Myanmar and upper Laos, entering a low-pressure area over northern Vietnam. Additionally, the southeastern and southwestern wind convergence at higher altitudes covers the northeastern region, while the southwestern monsoon continues to prevail over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand.

The TMD has also provided a four-day weather forecast for Bangkok and its vicinity. Heavy rainfall is expected in the area, with continuous rain predicted for the next ten days. The department advises residents to prepare for severe monsoon conditions.

In the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, waves are expected to reach around 1 metre in height, with higher waves in areas experiencing thunderstorms. Mariners are advised to avoid navigating in stormy regions.
