Residents in the affected areas are advised to take care of their health due to the cold weather and to be aware of fire hazards in dry conditions. The strong northeastern monsoon over the Gulf of Thailand and the south is causing rough seas, with waves in the lower Gulf reaching 2 to 3 metres and over 3 metres in stormy areas.

The upper Gulf has waves around 2 metres, while the Andaman Sea sees waves of 1 to 2 metres, increasing in stormy weather.

The TMD’s ninth warning advises caution in the eastern south due to coastal waves and urges sailors in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea to proceed with caution and avoid navigating in stormy areas. Small boats in the lower Gulf should stay ashore for another day.

Dust accumulation in upper Thailand remains at good to moderate levels, aided by moderate winds allowing for better air circulation.
