Motorcyclist dies in crash on way to see newborn daughter

A tragic accident occurred yesterday when a 23 year old man, on his way to visit his wife, who had just given birth to their daughter, lost control of his motorcycle and collided with a pavement, hitting a power pole. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene, leaving his father in tears.

The incident took place at 5.45pm yesterday, July 31. Somsak Puangsuk, an investigator from Bang Pakong Police Station in Chachoengsao province, received a report of a severe motorcycle accident on the old Sukhumvit Road heading towards Bang Pakong, Bang Pakong sub-district, Bang Pakong district, Chachoengsao province. Rescue teams from Chachoengsao were dispatched to the scene to investigate.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel and bystanders were found performing CPR on 23 year old Seksan, who had suffered a serious head injury with a depressed skull. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly after.

Nearby, his red Honda Wave motorcycle, registration number 5ขข 8546 Bangkok, lay overturned in the left lane with branches caught in the front wheel. Baby supplies, clothing, and other personal items were scattered across the road.

During this time, Seksan’s father and relatives arrived at the scene. Seeing his son’s body, his father broke down in tears, embracing his deceased son.

Through tears, the father recounted that his son was on his way to visit his wife, who had given birth to their daughter this morning at Bang Pakong Hospital. Due to the baby’s frailty, she had to be transferred to Chon Buri Hospital, with Seksan accompanying her.

After returning from Chon Buri Hospital, Seksan quickly rode his motorcycle to collect items to stay overnight with his wife at the hospital. Tragically, he met with a fatal accident on his way.

A witness stated that they saw the deceased driving his motorcycle at high speed towards Bang Pakong. As he reached the accident site, he lost control, grazed the pavement, and crashed into a high-voltage power pole with great force.

The police transported the body to the hospital for further investigation and legal procedures before returning it to the family for religious rites.
