A rider, suffering from severe hallucinations, stabbed a young man in the eye and fatally wounded his brother, who came to help. The incident occurred yesterday at 5pm in Pathum Thani, prompting immediate police and emergency response.

Investigating officers, including Wut Pradetchwong from the Pak Khlong Rangsit Police Station, arrived at the scene in Moo 6, Udom Chok Alley, Bang Phun Subdistrict, Mueang District. They found substantial bloodstains and two pairs of bloodied sandals at the front of a house. A sharp fruit knife was also discovered next to a parked car.

The injured individuals were identified as 23 year old Jakkrit, also known as Chang James, and 19 year old Thanadon, who are brothers. Relatives had already transported them to Pathum Vej Hospital.

Sadly, Jakkrit succumbed to his injuries en route, having been stabbed in the left rib. Thanadon, who sustained a stab wound to his left eye, was transferred to Bhumibol Hospital for further treatment.

The suspected assailant, identified as Sullalit, a 25 year old rider, fled the scene immediately after the attack. Witnesses, including the suspect’s 18 year old sister, Trisukon, provided insight into the events leading up to the stabbing.

Trisukon stated that the deceased had run out of a nearby house, asking her brother to put the knife down. Her brother slipped in the mud, and as the deceased approached with a stick, Sullalit retaliated by stabbing him once. Trisukon mentioned that her brother frequently experienced hallucinations and acted irrationally.

Another witness, 22 year old Korrakot, also a sister of the suspect, said that her brother often caused disturbances outside the victim’s house. On the day of the incident, he noticed the deceased’s friend visiting and proceeded to create a scene, eventually leading to the stabbing.

The mother of the deceased, 45 year old Thassanaporn, recounted that her daughter-in-law had informed her of a previous incident where the suspect climbed over their wall but was pulled back by relatives. The suspect had challenged her son to a fight, but her son focused on his work at his motorcycle repair shop, did not engage.

On the day of the attack, her younger son had gone to buy food with his girlfriend when the suspect ambushed them, stabbing her son in the eye. Hearing his brother’s cries, Jakkrit rushed to help, resulting in him being fatally stabbed, reported KhaoSod.

The police are actively pursuing the suspect to bring him to justice.
