Italian national brutally killed in Khlong Luang following neighbour dispute
A tragic incident unfolded in a village in Khlong Luang, Pathum Thani on Saturday when an Italian national was discovered dead following a brutal assault with an iron pipe. The police in Khlong Luang were alerted to the crime and promptly initiated an investigation.
The deceased was identified as a 50 year old Italian man named Milazzo Gianluca. An 80-centimetre iron pipe smeared with blood was discovered close to the crime scene, presumably the murder weapon.
The police report indicated that the incident was reported by a 38 year old juristic person named Kanokphon Wechasamphan on Saturday, December 2. He found the body in front of a house and immediately informed the police.
Kanokphon shared that Milazzo lived alone and recently had financial issues and the bank had recently foreclosed his residence and had his water and electricity cut off.
“Previously, Milazzo had numerous heated arguments with his neighbour living on the opposite side of his house which resulted in court action.”
The investigation took a significant turn when a 55 year old neighbour, known only as Phongsapat, confessed to the crime. According to Phongsapat, he held Milazzo responsible for his son’s incarceration. The two had a dispute over placing a rubbish bin, which spiralled into a major confrontation.
Phongsapat reportedly visited his son in prison and returned harbouring intense resentment towards Milazzo, whom he believed to be the reason for his son’s imprisonment. In a fit of rage, Phongsapat attacked Milazzo with an iron pipe while he was standing in front of his house, the police stated.
The Khlong Luang police took Phongsapat into custody and transported him to the police station, where he will face legal proceedings and criminal charges for his crime.
