About a week ago, a 29 year old man of Thai-Iranian descent was arrested for allegedly attacking his 40 year old Iranian friend during the purchase of fried chicken in Chon Buri. The attack reportedly came as a response to offensive comments made by the victim, who is now in critical condition after being stabbed multiple times.

In a separate incident that occurred around the same time, a fiery argument took place between a Thai woman and her foreign boyfriend in Pattaya. In the heat of the dispute, the woman stabbed her boyfriend in the leg before fleeing the scene, leaving the knife lodged in his calf.
